(1) The responsible body within the meaning of data protection regulations for the processing of personal data for your application is DNS:NET Internet Service GmbH, Zimmerstraße 23, 10969 Berlin, telephone: +49 (0 30) 667 65 – 0, email: info@dns-net.de. DNS:NET has appointed Mr. Michael Panienka as its data protection officer, who can be contacted at mp@panienka.de.
(2) As part of the application process, DNS:NET processes the applicant's personal data for the purpose of conducting the application process. For this purpose, DNS:NET uses the applicant's name and other information provided in the application, such as details of their CV and qualifications or their address and date of birth. The legal basis for processing is § 26 BDSG. Newsenselab only stores the applicant's personal data for as long as it is needed to carry out the application process and deletes it no later than 180 days after the end of the process, unless the applicant has agreed that their personal data should be stored for longer, e.g., for consideration in later application processes.
(3) The data submitted as part of the application is transmitted using TLS encryption and stored in a database. This database is operated by Personio GmbH, which offers human resources management and applicant management software (https://www.personio.de/impressum/). In this context, Personio is a processor for DNS:NET in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
(4) The applicant has the right to request information about the data stored about them. Upon request, the information can also be provided electronically. They have the right to request the deletion or restriction of personal data processed by DNS:NET or a transfer to third parties in a common format used by DNS:NET. The applicant may request that incorrect data be corrected. Corresponding requests can be directed to DNS:NET or its data protection officer. Complaints about the processing of personal data by DNS:NET can be directed to the competent supervisory authority.
Data protection level of third-party providers
The third-party providers used by DNS:NET and mentioned above are either based in the EU or in a country in which the EU has determined that there is an adequate level of data protection. Companies from the US meet the requirements for an adequate level of data protection under the EU-US Privacy Shield. In addition, DNS:NET enters into agreements using the so-called EU standard contractual clauses to ensure an adequate level of data protection by third-party providers.
